#02 - Hard training - mind, body and spirit
We break sweat. We break wooden planks. Sometimes, we also break bones. But we NEVER let our spirits break. We push on and we persevere. In Renbukai, the objective is not only to develop a strong body, but also a strong mind, and most importantly - a strong spirit. Our training therefore, is not only physical, but also mental and spiritual. From the correct blocking technique and the right coordination of movements to harnessing the body's bio-energy though breathing, we train ourselves to become the most lethal weapons.
#03 - MEditation, pranayam and yog
India is the birthplace of martial arts. Yet, most people are unaware of the potential of our exercises and techniques as they have been commercialized. At Renbukai India, we delve deep into the ancient techniques of breathing (Pranayam), concentration (Meditation) and movements in space (Yog) to harness our complete potential. Many of our exercises incorporate a number of Yog-Asanas.
#04 - Karate for all
Anyone from 4-75 years is welcome in the Dojo! Our carefully designed syllabus and exercises are geared towards all ages. Our syllabus is vast and there is a training regime for a person of any given age! In our Dojo, elder students constantly interact with the juniors, guide them, and help them develop an effective skill-set. We go beyond the combat and into the holistic growth of an individual.
#05 - WE ARE A FAMILY
We are not a gym or a class. We are a Family. Here, we take care of each other in class and after the class too. We are interested in our students academic performance, persona and character. Senior students keep a constant eye on juniors and mentor them. We meet outside class to discuss, train and understand each other and through this, we develop a sense of deep trust and coordination.
#06 - Practical Self Defense
Renbukai Karate was formed with the goal to synthesize a practical form of training Karate. From tactical self-defense techniques to conditioning and armored (Bogu) - Fighting, Renbukai Karate-Do is as practical in the street as in the class. We undergo a series of simulations and activities to prepare us for any contingency. At Renbukai, ever action performed in class is accompanied by an explanation of practical implementation. We encourage students to ask questions and learn the practical application of the techniques.
#07 - TRADITIONAL ROOTS
We address modern combat, but we stick to our traditional roots, culture and conduct. From the instructions in Japanese to learning authentic Kata handed down from one generation to another, Renbukai Karate never looses its touch with its traditional roots. Our culture teaches us to be patient, sincere and respect ourselves and each other.
#08 - Discipline
We practice extreme disciple and courtesy. We bow in respect, greet with enthusiasm and ensure self-control. A person with good discipline will go far in life. We clean our dojo, bow to each other in respect, great each other when we meet and motivate ourselves in unison.
#09 - WE ARE AN OFFICIAL branch of Japan karate federation
We are the only internationally recognized organization in NCR, and one of the very few in India. While many dojos claim to be authentic and internationally affiliated, we are the only ones who produce proof, not only through certification, but also through our training. We encourage you to visit our dojo and see the difference for yourselves.
